I haven't been to 3rd and Grand downtown in about ten years. I'm not sure why, but I'm glad I broke the hiatus. It's amazing there, with the buildings towering overhead like great pillars of light. It's sort of an optical illusion.

Sundown in Elysian Park
A few weeks ago I was taking walks in Elysian Park every evening with Matthew, Puma and Sadie. Since Matthew's left I haven't gone back. Also I don't appreciate so many off-leash dogs, especially if people can't control them.

This lizard tried to become my pet. Sadie tried to eat him, but I caught him in the martini shaker and redeposited him with his other lizard friends outside. Elysian Heights, CA
